Mochimoment doesn't collect anything about you. What it knows stays on your Mac. The only thing that goes online is the license check, and it sends just your key and your Mac's name.

What stays on your Mac

Your Mochis, breaks, streak, stats and settings live in a folder on your Mac (~/Library/Application Support/MochiMoment). Your license key and trial dates are kept in your Mac's Keychain. We never see any of it. Deleting the app and that folder deletes it all.

What the app looks at

To hold a break while you're busy, Mochimoment checks a few on/off signals on your Mac, in the moment:

• how long since you last typed or moved the mouse (never what you typed)
• whether the mic or camera is in use, and by which app
• whether your screen is being shared or recorded, and by which app
• whether a video is keeping your screen awake
• which app is in front, for full-screen games and the focus apps you pick

It doesn't record your screen, your audio or your keystrokes, and none of this leaves your Mac.

What goes online

Only license checks, sent to Lemon Squeezy's license service:

• when you enter your key: the key, and your Mac's name, so you can tell your Macs apart on your order page
• about once a week after that: the key and this Mac's activation, to check it's still good
• when you deactivate a Mac

The trial never goes online. The app has no analytics, no crash reports, no ads and no trackers.

When you buy

Lemon Squeezy sells Mochimoment for us, as the merchant of record. At checkout they collect what they need to take your payment and handle tax, like your name, email, payment details and country, and their privacy policy covers it. They share your name, email and order details with us, so we can help with your license and refunds. We don't sell or share them with anyone.

The website

mochimoment.com sets no cookies and has no analytics or trackers. Like any website, its host may keep basic server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Your choices

Email us anytime to see, correct or delete the order details we have. To delete everything Mochimoment keeps on your Mac, delete the app and its folder.

Children

Mochimoment isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top. Mochimoment will never start sending more about you without telling you first.
